Romeo and Juliet. Bonnie and Clyde. These lover’s tales tell a sad truth, a bittersweet story about life, and love and our pursuit of happiness. Humanity has been known for centuries to want what we cannot have. To love who we should not love. Those who have forsaken fate have found themselves at the brink; at that moment of realizing you can’t live with the one you love, and you can’t live without them. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts.
“Till Death” is sweet and even sexy. It’s also riddled with the gritty notion of never making it out alive. It’s feverish with love, but panicked with the idea of loss. Mark Lanegan’s cover of Come on Over (Turn me On) is haunting yet sexy while Trophy by Bat for Lashes plays toward the actual relationships of these lovers and how inseparable they truly are.
For the lost lovers of time. For the sorrowful souls bound to one another for all eternity. Fate has dealt the most terrible of hands, but at least there is a hand to hold. You are not alone, you are in love and you have loved and you have spat back in the face of death. No lengths are too far for these souls to roam. Not even murder. Not Even Death.
