As the leaves change colors and the pumpkins become ripe, we venture out into the open. Our hands outstretched, palms facing upward, our noses tilted into the wind. It is harvest time. Time for us to to do what we do best. Pick and pluck the fruits of our labor from the spring and the summer; our baskets full with all of the delights this wonderful place has to offer. What we create from our haul is not for us to tell, but it is for you to find out. We are the gatherers. The ones who collect and harvest crops, the falling foliage, and even spirits.
Gatherer is a sweet and slightly haunting playlist filled with folk and songs that inspire the festive-ness that is fall. The perfect playlist for a road trip through the mountains to watch the leaves change, or to listen to as you wait for that mulled wine to be ready. Be sure to check out Dearly Departed by Shakey Graves (Feat. Esme Patterson), as well as Wildewoman by Lucius. This playlist is soft with a tinge of sultry, the kind of playlist for a witch worthy of warm colors, cinnamon spice, and a penchant for helping souls pass through to the other side.
For the ones who sneaky smiles like fiery foxes; their nails dirty and hair disheveled from digging in the soil for treasures. Those with peaceful hums and melancholy tunes that will lull you to sleep. Witches that were born for the witching hour. For those who collect gold and ruby; mahogany and amber. The ones willing to harvest lost souls and help them find their way home. For the gatherers.
