Here there be witches. Ones with powers mother earth has bestowed upon them to bring retribution from the skies and seas. Electric and powerful, the kind of power that can sweep cities away. This is the song of the storm witch. The tempest that brings the dark grey, and the eerie song of the squall.
September is the start of the storm season. It’s a time when category five hurricanes pummel land and decimate whole cities. Storms are terrifying, but beautiful in the most absolute way. This playlist was created to embody that ethereal sensation emanated by raging waters and howling winds. This is a playlist for a witch who doesn’t speak with words, but instead with how she manipulates the weather.
Songs like Dark Angel and Wind Queen evoke the emotion of the spiraling winds, while Epic North’s Skywatcher conjures the electric execution needed for the perfect lightning song. This playlist was created with the intention to embody the creation and the fury of some of the most powerful storms. Little did we know when creating this playlist, how relevant it would become. Click this link to find out how you can assist the Red Cross and help the victims of Irma and Harvey.
For the ones with electric fingertips and tears that fall like rain.
Those with sore throats from screaming winds that break branches and bury men. Sisters who conjure storms and torrential down pours. The ones that play thunder like music and dance as the lightening strikes.
For the whirlwinds and twisters, pulling the wicked up by their roots, only to toss them aside like playthings.
For the temperate. The temperamental. For the Tempest.
