There are moments in life when you realize you’re drowning. Drowning in a well of lies and manipulation; shackled to the bottom, breathing in the toxic fumes of jealousy and never being enough. Someone you once loved is only the shell of a memory now. The husk of a broken promise; of fantasies and what if’s that never came to pass. A ghostly impression of false memories and tattered dreams.
You want to fix them. You want to tinker around in their heads, popping the old pegs back in the holes where they use to reside. But it is not their pegs that need retribution. It is your own. A tattered and forgotten sense of self. A husk that longs to be filled by the love that let you down. A cyclical cyclone that demolishes your heart every time to attempt to stitch it back together.
This is what it’s like to love the wrong one, and why we created this somber soundtrack. An ode to solitude and loneliness for those who just want to be loved again. A darker version of its counterpart, A-side. Be sure not to miss artists like Portishead, Nick Cave, and Death in Vegas.
For those wrapped up in the tangled web of their lover’s deceit. The ones not willing to let go of what they have already lost. The poor souls whom beg for another chance and never receive the love they feel they so justly deserve. For the lovelorn and reckless.
