If you already subscribe to Dollar Shave Club then its a good bet that you’ve seen this. Earlier this year I noticed in my regular razor package that they now offered oral care products called Superba! Oral Care. As I’m willing to try just about anything from companies that I already trust I went ahead and got them to test. Here’s my review of the Dollar Shave Club Oral Care products.
I can be very picky about the kind of toothbrush I use and I probably should have thought of that before purchasing this. The handle is nice and sturdy and much lighter than it looks. It also comes in either black or white. If you’ve tried the executive razor then this will look familiar. The actual shape of the brush though makes it a little difficult to reach the back of my teeth. Since there is no bristle options I struggled with the toothbrush for the first week and a half. It is a little too hard for my gums. On a side note, I do have a genetic gum issue that can cause them to recede if brushed too roughly. After using the toothbrush for about a month everything seems to be fine though. I loved that it came with a cap though for travel!
The Superba! toothpaste is pretty typical for toothpaste. Although, I don’t care for the “peppermint kick” flavor. I’m not quite sure why, maybe I’m just used to more of a spearmint flavor. I also find myself wanting to use mouthwash more often than I do with other brands. Overall my teeth feel clean and healthy but I would love to be able to have some different flavor options in the future.
While I think it's a great idea there are plenty of better store bought options for a lower price. I wish they had different options on the bristle type as well.
